Tom Jeschke is in the process of building another Quality homebuilt Aircraft. This time it is a Double Eagle which is the 2 person spin off of the Legal Eagle, that is a popular single place homebuilt plane. Tom is powering the Double Eagle with a Revmaster VW 4-cylinder engine. Take a look at a few pictures of this close to completed plane.
Although others could be requested for an extra fee, this blue & yellow paint scheme, known as the bluebird, was the paint job used in all the ads back in 1949. Before being repainted during restoration in the fall of 2000, this coupe still showed off the original paint it had when it left the factory in ’49. Everything on the plane is either original or very close.
N93807 1946 Ercoupe has been at Rio Creek since it was purchased from Lee Ness of Green Bay in 2003.
